Health Safety (ArmadilloCon Health Pledge)

We ask that all attendees and participants follow the ArmadilloCon Health Pledge. You are committed to:

  • Practicing respiratory etiquette, such as masking (where applicable) and / or covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
  • Exercising good hygiene, such as frequently washing or sanitizing your hands.
    • Masks will be available at the ArmadilloCon Registration Desk, and are encouraged.
    • Please wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms (coughing, sneezing, sore throat, hoarseness, etc.), or if you think you have had a respiratory virus in the last 5 days.
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use soap and scrub for 20 seconds before rinsing.
    • Hand sanitizer will be available at the ArmadilloCon Registration Desk and at other locations in the convention, and its use is encouraged.
    • Hand sanitizers do not get rid of all types of viruses, though, so please also wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water.
  • Following the CDC’s recommendations for protecting yourself from, and reducing the spread of, COVID-19 and other communicable illnesses.
  • Not attending ArmadilloCon if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and/or have tested positive for COVID-19 and have not completed the CDC’s guidelines for discontinuing isolation.

Note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, our protocols included a mask policy and proof of a negative test (or full vaccination instead of a negative test) in order to collect and maintain credentials.
