Samantha Mills is the award-winning author of the novel The Wings Upon Her Back<\/a><\/em>, and the short stories “Rabbit Test<\/a>,” “Strange Waters,” “Adrianna in Pomegranate<\/a>,” and “Kiki Hernandez Beats the Devil<\/a>,” among others. She won the Nebula Award, Locus Award, and Sturgeon Award for “Rabbit Test.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n She has also been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, made the Locus Recommended Reading List and the BSFA long list multiple times, and was included in the best-of anthologies The New Voices of Science Fiction<\/a> <\/em>and The Year\u2019s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy 2023<\/a><\/em>. Her stories have appeared in numerous venues, including Uncanny Magazine, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Strange Horizons, and Daily SF, with her novels being published by Tachyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She graduated from the University of Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Pre- and Early Modern Literature, and received a Master\u2019s in Information and Library Science from San Jose State University.
