Matt Rifley is appearing at ArmadilloCon 2024!
Matt is a cinematographer, television show creator, and visual story lover who currently lives in Austin, Texas, but grew up in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
After spending 20 years in the military, Matt (a Disabled Veteran from his time in service) immediately returned to his childhood dream of creating stories for people to enjoy by pursuing degrees in Radio/Film/Television and Digital Media Production.
Since becoming a filmmaker, Matt has become a 1st generation Amazon Studios filmmaker, created several award-winning independent films, launched an annual film festival in Austin and co-created a weekly television show called TEXAS AGRICULTURE MATTERS (on RFDtv & The Cowboy Channel) that spotlights the world of Texas agriculture & Texas artists and makers that are part of the Go Texan Program (that show is now in Season 11). An avid Texas historian, few people know Texas the way he does.
