Elizabeth Moon

Elizabeth Moon will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2024!

Elizabeth Moon is a native Texan who started making up stories in childhood, but was a slowpoke getting publishes, with her first fiction sale at age 40 and her first book out at 43. Since then, she’s published 28 novels, including epic fantasy (Deed of Paksenarrion, Legacy of Gird (omnibus volumes) and Paladin’s Legacy 5 volumes.), as well as military SF, space opera, plain SF, and humor. She’s also published over 50 shorter works across a range of magazines and anthologies. After a couple of TBIs in 2027 and 2018, she was unable to write well, but is now back at work on both short fiction and a novel. She has degrees from both Rice University (history) and University of Texas (biology), served in the USMC, enjoys fencing , knitting, cooking, writing, and until the head injuries interfered, singing. She’s a member of a writing group on Discord. She lives with her husband, two horses, and a HUGE number of books crammed into shelves in every room. Oh…and a Nebula Best Novel Award on one of those shelves, for The Speed of Dark.
