Jess Nevins

 Jess Nevins will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!

He is the interim director of a community college library outside of Houston. He has written numerous books, chapters, and articles on subjects ranging from the history of the graphic design of Marvel’s most prominent superheroes to the entirety of Victorian genre fiction. He is the author of Horror Fiction in the 20th Century (2020), Horror Needs No Passport (2018), The Encyclopedia of Pulp Heroes (2017), The Evolution of the Costumed Avenger: The 4000-Year History of the Superhero (2017), The Victorian Bookshelf: An Introduction to 61 Essential Novels (2016), and The Encyclopedia of Fantastic Victoriana (first edition 2005, second edition 2020), among many other books and shorter pieces. He lives in Tomball, TX, with his wife Alicia and son Henry.
