ArmadilloCon has always been known for its excellent art show featuring regional artists as well as great artists from around the United States. I, Scott Zrubek, will once again be running the art show.
I’m trying something unusual this year. If you get your space request in before April 15 and your art does end up in the show, when I send out the checks with sales, I will include a check to repay your art show panel fees. I, as the Art Show Director, am doing this. The convention is not. This is an experiment and may or may not be continued in future years.
There will be 13 tables and 54 panels in the art show. These numbers are subject to change based on availability.
The fees for panel/table space and the commissions are at their traditional numbers. Panels are $15 for each 4×4 space, with a maximum of 3 panels per artist. Tables are $15 for a 6′ table, $10 for half of a table, with a maximum of 2 tables per artist. The commission on panel and table art sales is 15%.
We have a Print Shop this year, and the cost is $0.50/print (with no additional commission). There is a limit of 40 prints per artist.
There is no additional fee for mail-in artwork. The deadline for mail-in artwork to reach us Friday, July 26, 2019.
Those artists who do get panel space this year, we’d really like you to use our online tool for entering your artwork information. It also lets you print out control sheets and bid sheets. With the online tool, the bid sheets and control sheets will have minimum bids and quick sale prices that always match each other, saving headaches all around. When you sign up, you’ll receive an email with the link to the website.
